Iranian scientific teams snatch 13 world titles in Robocup 2016

Head of Iranian RoboCup Regional Committee said that the Mechatronic Research Laboratories (MRL) team from Azad University of Qazvin, by receiving 6 titles, became the most honorable team in the event.

Regarding the results obtained by Iranian teams, Morteza Mousakhani said that in Rescue Robot League Iranian Kavosh Team ranked 2nd and received the title of the best hardware design.

In co-space student league, Allameh Tabataba'I highschool got the best technical presentation title.

MRL team ranked first in the world in small size robot soccer league.

Mousakhani added that MRL team ranked first in the world in Rescue Robot League and Farzanegan High school team ranked second.

He reiterated that in Rescue Robot League (developing infrastructure), MRL team ranked first and it also stood in the first place in technical competitions section.

He said that Iranian team Baset Pajouh ranked first in adult humanoid league and Azad University of Ilkhchi ranked third after Germany.

Amirkabir University of Technology's team ranked first in teen-size humanoid league.

The 20th edition of world Robocup Leipzig, Germany 2016 was held on June 30 to July 3 in the presence of the representatives of 45 world countries.

Over 200 teams from different universities, schools and institutions participated in the event and Iranian teams from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran University, Azad University of Qazvin and Ilkhchi, Farzanegan high school in Tehran, Salam High school, Kavosh Team and Baset Pajouh Team also took part in the event.
