The event was held with the attendance of 54 teams.
IMC aims to:
To organize an international mathematics competition for Key Stage II (Upper Primary Level) and Key Stage III (Lower Secondary Level) students.
b) To create an academic atmosphere to motivate teachers and students to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics with emphasis on developing the higher order thinking skills.
c) To establish cooperation with networks for the development of teaching and learning of mathematics with international and educational organizations
d) To provide students from participating countries with opportunities to exchange mathematics knowledge and practice, and cultural experiences.
e) To upgrade mathematics curriculum in school to be at par with the international standards.
