Iranian studies center opens in Georgia

A number of Iranian and Georgian scholars attended an opening ceremony held on Thursday, the Persian service of IRNA has announced.

Institute director Giorgi Sanikidze said that the center will help scholars and students in Georgia increase their knowledge of Iranian history and culture.

Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Georgia Mojtaba Kamranfard also said that the center would help to expand cultural relations between the two countries.

Iran’s Cultural Office in Georgia set up the center in collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies.
