Iranian Wins Outstanding Young Scientists Award for 2016

Dr Kaveh Madani, 34, is to receive the Arne Richter Award for his work on incorporating game theory and water resource management which resulted in a new look at water resource management models.
The senior lecturer in Environmental Management and the director of alumni at the Center for Environmental Policy of London’s Imperial College told the state-run BBC that he introduced economic and behavioral theories into the field of water resources management to carry out his research and reach his achievements.
Madani further noted that the more water and environmental subjects become complicated, they allow for the further introduction of human and social sciences.
The EGU was established by the merger of the European Geophysical Society and the European Union of Geosciences in 2002. In addition, it is a non-profit international union in the fields of Earth, planetary, and space sciences.
