Isfahan University of Technology, University of Zurich ink MoU

The Public Relations of Isfahan University of Technology announced on Tuesday that the MoU was inked on the sidelines of a visit to Iran of a high-ranking Swiss delegation.
President of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Ammann arrived in Iranian capital, Tehran on February 26 to confer with Iranian officials on expansion of bilateral cooperation.
Speaking on the sidelines of signing ceremony, the Chancellor of Isfahan University, Seyyed Mahmud Modarres Hashemi said that in the wake of Swiss delegation’s presence in Iran chancellors of several Swiss universities will travel to Iran.
Referring to development of international cooperation in scientific field as a major plan of Isfahan University of Technology, Hashemi said that University of Zurich enjoys top ranking in the world and this accounts for good scientific and research relations between the two universities over the past decade.
The Chancellor of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich said that regarding Isfahan University’s scientific achievements have given it an important position not only in the region but also in the world.
Expressing his interest in bilateral scientific cooperation in water and soil fields, he added that due to Iranian’s interest in environmental issues the two sides have suitable cooperation in this area.
ETH Zurich is an engineering, science, technology, mathematics and management university in the city of Zürich, Switzerland.
