Islamic Azad University to cooperate with UNESCO

Mirzadeh expressed willingness to establish connection and cooperation with the United Nations Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and said that UNESCO is a reputable organization and all organizations are trying, in some extent, to follow this organization in their own developing programs.
He also said that IAU is a unique heritage in Iran with 20 million square meters of educational spaces and 70,000 members of faculty as well as more than 11,000 laboratories and workshops.
The chancellor proposed that the university should be registered as a successful model in presenting scientific and cultural educations.
Nasiri Qeidari said that the proposals will be followed up seriously and that the IAU upon its foundation and execution mechanism is a unique non-governmental organization, which could register in UNESCO.
