Kharazmi University to teach Persian to foreigners

Providing such infrastructures can promote standards of the university to reach the position it deserves, the head of international collaborations office of the university Nasser Qoli-Sarli said.

Dean of Kharazmi University Azizollah Habibi, deputy for promotion of the Persian Language and literature in foreign countries Bahador Baqeri, head of the Persian Department of Kharazmi University Mohammad Shadrui-manesh, and Qoli-Sarli attended the ceremony.

In March 24, 1994, Iran decided to establish Persian Language for foreigners as major at universities. Ever since then, many major Iranian universities, including Tehran, Allame Tabatabaee, Isfahan, Tarbiat-Modarres universities, have founded the departments and centers for that purpose.
