Mohammad Moheb-Khodaei recalled the government's special attention to tourism sector during post-sanctions era and said that efforts are underway to increase the number of incoming tourists fivefold based on the Sixth Development Plan.
In addition to extensive measures to attract two million tourists a year, Kish Island as the country's tourism hub and one of the main centers for developing tourism industry during post-sanctions era is trying to help the government attain its main objectives, he said.
Referring to well reception of the exhibition by the companies and organizations involved in tourism sector, Moheb-Khodaei said that the event will provide a suitable opportunity for exchange of expertise and experience between the tourism activists.
Holding specialized seminars and educational workshops are among the peripheral programs of the upcoming exhibition, the official said.
The exhibition will discuss various topics including transportation and tourism, role of free zones in development of the Iranian brand and urban development and tourism.
