Saeid Mazaheri, the director of the 18th International Marine Industries Conference, said Kish Island has been selected as the permanent exhibition ground for the marine conference, a decision that will help with developing tourism industry.
According to him, the topics of the conference include marine economy and management, offshore oil and gas industry, seafaring and marine transportation, rules and standards, health, safety, and environment in marine industry, oceanographic and meteorological conditions, ship design and construction, coastal and offshore facilities, marine renewable energy and new technologies, and human resources.
He went on to add that a special program has been organized for Iranian and foreign scientists and experts, and so far a number of countries such as Australia have confirmed their participation.
So far, 60 foreign companies have reserved a stand at the exhibition and the conference has been received with enthusiasm, he added.
The 18th International Marine Industries Conference is organized by the Iranian Association of Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering in collaboration with other national marine organizations, industries and businesses.
