The award will be presented during the 63rd meeting of the World Health Organization's Regional Committee for Eastern Mediterranean slated to end in Cairo on October 6.
The meeting will discuss various topics, including universal health coverage, family doctor, elimination of polio virus, prevention and control of non-contagious diseases, international health regulations and health information system.
Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Seyyed Hassan Hashemi traveled to Cairo on Tuesday to take part in the meeting.
He will present a report on health situation in eastern Mediterranean and Iran's measures in line with World Health Organization's health policies.
