Like previous years, mourning ceremonies on the sad occasion are held for several days in the presence of the Leader at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniyeh (religious center) in Tehran.
It was the first night of mourning at the Husseiniyeh.
A large number of people and the Islamic Establishment’s officials were present at the event.
Addressing the ceremony, senior cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Kazem Sediqi elaborated on the lofty spiritual status and virtues of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Also, renowned elegist Mansour Arzi recited elegies to commemorate the anniversary.
Shia Muslims, and others in different parts of the world hold ceremonies every year in the lunar Hijri month of Jumada al-Ula to mourn the martyrdom of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
