The literacy rate in Iran has risen by 50 percent in recent 38 years

The head of Tehran Education Office Abdolreza Fooladvand said: the literacy rate in Iran has risen by 50 percent in recent 38 years.

Fooladvand in the gathering of the deputies of Literacy Movement Organization (LMO) said: LMO enjoys a 40 year history in Iran. This Organization has gained many successes until now.

Fooladvand added: the literacy rate in Iran is 86 percent while this rate in the world is nearly 82.2 percent.
