Madrid to host literary event on Persian, Spanish modern poetry

The cosponsors of the binational literary event are the Tehran Municipality's Shahr-e Ketab (The Book City) international cultural center, the Iranian Cultural Attaché in Spain and Madrid's famous Complutense University on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Professors and researchers of the Persian and Spanish languages and literatures will in this seminar focus on the special features of the Persian and Spanish modern and blank verses and the pomes of Nima Yushij and Juan Ramon Jumenez will be recited for the audience in those two languages.

Alfred Cavanaq will speak on 'Nima Yushij: Human and Poet', Ali-Asghar Mohammad-Khani on 'Blue lilies in Iran and Spain' Javier Helgta Manso on 'Between the Ivory Tower and the Babylon Tower: Juan Raminas as the Receiver of Several Literary Traditions', Hossein Masoumi-Hamedani on 'Particular Features of the Persian Blank Verse Based on Interpretation of a poem Inscribed on Ahmad Shamlu's Grave Stone'.

A selection of the Persian blank verse translated into Spanish and the Spanish modern verse translated into Persian language will be unveiled in the seminar and will simultaneously be published in the course of the current year in Tehran and Madrid. http://www.irna.ir/en/News/81584711/
