Maleki Appointed as New Head of OERP

Iran's Minister of Education appointed Dr. Hassan Maleki as the new head of Organization for Educational Research and Planning.

In a ceremony held in Tehran on Saturday, Mohsen Haji Mirzaei, the Iran's Minister of Education, appointed Dr. Hassan Maleki as his new executive advisor and the head of Organization for Educational Research and Planning.

Hassan Maleki is a faculty member of the well-known Allameh Tabatabai University, who previously served as the deputy of OERP.

In this ceremony, Maleki appreciated former head of OEPR for his efforts and stressed that he believes the organizations has a very important responsibility as it “feeds the minds of Iranian students.”

“The main mission of the organizations is enacting the transformational guidelines of The Ministry of Education and I am strongly committed to it.”

The Minister set the following proprieties for the new head of Organization for Educational Research and Planning:

 

  • The evaluation of the current curricula and planning the curriculum guides of education based on the current and future needs of the country and according to the "Second Step of the Revolution" which was passed in the High Council of the Ministry of Education in 2020.

 

  • Noticing the Article 15 of the Constitution and planning for the desired training of ‘Persian language, script and literature’; as well as paying attention to the role and importance of ‘Islamic, revolutionary and national culture, art and history" in the new curricula.

 

  • Precise planning for the training and empowerment of teachers, educators, school principals, and staff of the headquarters and organization, and the creation of an appropriate system for identifying and supporting inventions, initiatives, creativity, and innovations of teachers and experts.

 

  • Considering entrepreneurship and skill-oriented tasks, creating various and different learning environments and rich resources at schools which requires productive cooperation with the deputies of education, training and sports in schools as well as the heads of affiliated organizations, universities and headquarters.
