According to the provincial education news agency, the director of education in the district of Urmia announced that "Zahra Zavieh" from Urmia, a member of a team of Iranian students in the scientific competition was one of the highest point earner and winner of a gold medal of the tournament. She is a student from Urmia Farzanegan High School and is studying at the 5th year high school.
The contest was held this year in South Korea and the Iranian student team participated in the Olympiad with 54 teenage girls and boys.
The team with capturing a toal of five gold medals, 18 silver medals, 17 bronze medals and 14 honorary diplomas standed 2nd in the world.
