“The earthquake occurred in parts of our provinces, in Iran, and our neighboring country, Iraq, which brought about great casualties, financial losses and caused unfortunate effects; especially in the province of Kermanshah, which brought the number of injuries and death tolls to hundreds. May Allah, the Almighty grant the injured healing and recovery, and for the departed ones, rewards and mercy; and patience for the survivors. Certainly patience and sympathy of the Iranian people in this type of incident will reduce the pain, and the serious efforts of the officials to resolve problems and provide basic facilities to manage the crisis will accelerate the normal course of life.
In my turn, I express my condolences on this occasion to the noble people of Iran and the Iraqi brothers, especially the fellow compatriots of Kermanshah province and those who have suffered disaster. May Allah the Almighty reward the affected families patience and tranquility.”
