Anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s demise (may he rest in God’s heaven), is a reminder of a nation’s sorrowful days, mourning for a leader who was so popular that the crowd gathered to bade him farewell, more enormous than the crowd who welcomed him after 15 years of exile, hand in hand and row after row cried for their loss and unbearable grief of separation.
They have had experienced many sorrows and joys with Imam Khomeini during the 10 years of victory of Islamic Revolution. Victory of Islamic revolution, Independence and Freedom, establishment of Islamic Republic, Occupation of Spies’ Nest (former U.S Embassy), Country’s Prosperity, Nation’s Unification, presence of youth at liberation of Khoramshahr, pushing enemy back and his surrender against people’s will are some of pleasant memories of Iranian nation with his Imam. They had of course hard times too, embargos, invasion, bombardments, cities under attck by misilies, 7th of Tir, 8th of Shahrivar, and so many other disasters.
In all these moments they use to see their “Imam” by their side, he was not a leader apart from his people. His words and actions was filled with honesty, he was a comfort for all who were suffering, a support for poor and deprived, echo of his message crossed the boarders and all around the world there were hearts possessed by Iran’s revolution and Iranian people and their leader. The more the pressures, the more solid he became and people could see hand of God in his divine words. His promises were fulfilled and that is why people loved him at the time of his departure even more than the time of his arrival.
Imam made it clear that his position is that of Freedom and Independence. He made it clear that his stand is that of God’s prophets throughout the history, opposing unjustified intellectual theories. He taught us that he has an uncompromising position against recess, dogmatism and petrification. He taught a nation that their presence in the scene is a guarantee for national dignity and security. Imam taught that until the day when the flag of “LA ELAHA ELLALLAH, MOHAMMED RASOOL-OLLAH” (there is no god but ALLAH, Mohammed is his prophet) is risen on top of the world and call of “ALAH-O AKBAR” (God is the greatest) is not echoed throughout the world there will be struggle and as long as this struggle stands, so are we.
Great Imam Khomeini was thinking of his nation even as was passing and left them a treasure of a testament to be a revolutionary criterion for people and government.
Pointing out a man who was qualified to carry the flag of leadership, he demolished tent of stupidity, so nation of Islam would not be trapped in “Caliphate Council”.
Today, after almost three decades from passing of Imam, may God’s blessing be upon him and his descendants, Iranian nation under the leadership of the Supreme Leader and with total loyalty to the principles of Islamic Republic are showing a sensible and practical model of “religious democracy” and close penetration points to enemies until they pass the divine deposit to God’s trustee and our savior “HOJATT-EBN-EL HASSAN” may God expedite his outburst.
I implore God elevated ranks for our late Imam Khomeini and resting at presence of God and martyrs.
