Farhadi told the Seminar on the 6th Development Plan and the First Economic Resistance Plan that based on the plan, the number of internationally registered inventions should rise to 59 by 2021 from 29 at present.
He said share of research in the gross domestic product should reach three percent by the end of the 6th Five-Year Plan.
He added that foreign students account for 0.3 percent of students studying in Iran now but the figure should reach 1.2 percent by the end of the plan. 'Presently, 21,500 foreign students are studying in Iran and by the end of the 6th Five-Year Plan, their number will reach 75,000.'
