More than 650,000 volunteer school builders in Iran are the achievements of the Islamic Revolution

According to the Ministry of Education's Information and Public Relations Center, Sayyed Mohammad Bathayi, at a charity symposium on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a charitable society at the Dar Al-Fonoun School, with the presence of the first vice president, stated: "One of the values ​​of the Iranian community Since ancient times is believing in goodness and doing good; so it is so pleasing to see wherever we go, we see the name of the volunteer school builders. At the beginning of the revolution, the statistics of the volunteers in this field were very small, but after the victory of the revolution till now, we see the existence of more than 650,000 of volunteers. Adding that out of a total of 530,000 classrooms in the country, more than 110,000 units have been built by volunteers.”

He pointed out that about one third of the educational space needs reconstruction and rehabilitation.

Referring to the necessity of promoting the level of cooperation of the benefactors in accordance with chapter 6 of the Document of Fundamental Transformation and the emphasis of the Supreme Leader, he added that the school-building tradition has always been emphasized and considered as holy jihad.

He said: "As a member of the great cultural community, I appreciate the valuable services of  school building volunteers ."
