Morocco Conference Highlights Needs for Promotion of Quran Contemplation Culture

The International Conference on Contemplating the Quran, held in the port city of Casablanca, concluded on Thursday, October 29.
More than 500 scholars and thinkers from 30 countries took part in the conference, which was organized by the World Association of Tadabbor (Contemplation) in the Quran.
Releasing a statement at the end of the international event, the participants warned against deviations in interpreting the Quran.
They stressed that the culture of reflecting on the Holy Book should be fostered in the Muslim world in order to enhance the youths’ faith and prevent the spread of deviated thoughts.
This was the second edition of the conference and was organized in cooperation with the Humanities Faculty of Al-Hassan Thani University of Morocco.

The first edition of the international scholarly event was hosted by Qatar in 2012.
