Moscow to Host Conference on Revolution, Islamic History

Slated for October 5-6, it will be jointly organized by the Russian Foundation for Islamic Studies and the Philosophy Institute of Russia’s Academy of Sciences.

The Iranian Philosophical Society will also cooperate in holding the international scholarly event.

It will be attended by researchers and scholars from Russia, Iran and a number of other countries.

The logic of cultural developments paving the way for revolutionary changes, religious reformism and Islamic literature, and the history of developments in philosophy, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and historiography are some of the topics to be discussed at the conference.

Head of the Iranian Philosophical Society Gholam Reza Aavani and head of Iran’s Institute for Research in Philosophy Hojat-ol-Islam Abdol Hossein Khosrow Panah will be among Iranian scholars scheduled to address the conference.
