Muslim intellectuals’ works available at Turkey’s National Library

According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hassan Safarkhani, the Iranian Cultural Attaché to Ankara, met with Zulfi Toman, Head of the National Library of Turkey and discussed about mutual cooperation.

In this visit, Safarkhani referred to the role of book and reading in improving public level of knowledge and said: “Most of the problems we see in the Muslim world today are due to ignorance and lack of knowledge and if people were aware of what is written in books on religion and belief, they would never be deceived.”

He said: “The reason why foreign conspiracies work in our societies is due to their reliance on people’s lack of knowledge and ignorance and the result is what we see today.

“That’s why developing books and libraries is so valuable and has numerous worldly and spiritual impacts. Its worldly effect is offering services to the public and improving their awareness which in turn leads to the development of the society and getting heavenly rewards from God,” Iran’s cultural attaché to Turkey added.
