“I am here to serve the country; anyone who takes responsibility should try to achieve the goals for the education and training.”

Addressing the members of the board of directors of the organization, he added, "As my colleagues, I expect you to help me achieve the goals of this organizations.”

“My priorities are first to ask Allah for his help and be modest, we must value Islamic ethics in our managements and respect human dignity. ‘Patience’ is one of the main requirements of the management.”

He added: “Second, we need to act wisely. We need science in almost every issue, the science of educational technology, the science of curriculum planning, and so on. The important question is which science, and you, as the managers of the organization, should identify which science works best for your department.

“Third, we must be wise and careful; knowledge does not necessarily lead to wisdom. Wisdom includes understanding the delicacy; To give you an example I refer to some fake forms of Islam, created by the enemies to deviate the youth.  We deal with educational texts that feed the mind of our children. If we are not wise and alert, the text might be deviant for our children. This is a truth that should not be overlooked.”

The deputy of Education minister stressed that the organization should be wise and alert to identify “the deviant” so the text are not “poisoned”.

“Fourth, we need to act based on criteria,” Dr. Maleki added. “Each department needs its own criteria and when we talk about the standards of the textbooks, we mean having set criteria.”

The new head of the Organization for Educational Research and Planning noted his fifth priority to be acting social “we should avoid individualism. We should be more sociable.

Sixth, we should consider being comprehensive; that is seeing all the dimension in every issue and noting that exclusive plans never yield good results.”

Dr. Maleki called his seventh priority as acting lawfully and added: no one has benefited from breaking the law.”

“The eighth, is to act decisively and kindly; timely determination is necessary for efficient management. Of course determination is different from tyranny or authoritarianism that are reprehensible.

The deputy of Education Minister noted his ninth priority as being “persistence”. “Being persistence in our efforts, we can institutionalize the effects of what we do.”

“The tenth is to remember our cause; which are directly related to the curriculum. We must see and analyse the programs by having our cause in mind.”

Dr. Hassan Maleki stressed that the last point is to see things in process, saying “it is problematic to perform a cross-sectional and discrete operation.”

Referring to some changes in this organization, he stated: These changes do not mean the weakness of the former people were not good enough, they have certainly worked hard to promote this organization, but different situations require different people.”
