Adviser to the Minister of Education and the manager of Shaad network pointed out that in order to address the concerns of students’ access to the Shaad network, “a combination of educational options” is on the agenda from October.
“Face-to-face training, educational packages, Shaad network and the TV schools are all presented together; and each of them have a certain share of our new plan” he added.
Hassan Al-Husseini told reporters that in 2002, permission was obtained from the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution that education could use three methods: face-to-face, semi-face-to-face and online.
He added: “The infrastructures for online education was somewhat prepared. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we faced the closures of schools, and the Education Ministry was trying hard to prevent the disruption in education.
“The launch of Shaad network was a great achievement, and now it’s the time to improve it. Teachers were facing difficulties working with Shaad network and we want to start new school year with an improved version of Shaad network.”
"Education is an interactive platform, and we want to make that interaction online as much as possible,” Al-Husseini noted. “We also have challenges and we have students who don't have access to the Interne.”
