Pointing to the importance of textbooks he said, 'the final goal of the national curriculum is to reach some level of pure life in which five elements of oneself, belief, knowledge, practice and morality in regard to four arenas of relation of man with himself, his relation with god, relation with people and relation with the universe have been emphasized that will be crystallized in eleven areas of learning.'
He pointed out some verses of the holy Quran in relation with the earth and added, 'recognition of the earth is important because much knowledge and many sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology, etc. have stemmed from this recognition.'
At the end of his speech he announced that OERP is prepared to hold the 3rd Int'l Geosciences Congress.
