Over 600 overseas Iranian scientists back home

Speaking at the INOTEX 2017, which was held in Tehran, Ali Morteza Birang further said that they are currently involved in scientific-educational activities.

He noted that the plan to cooperate with overseas Iranian scientists has led to positive results.

Some of them, who have returned to Iran, have launched knowledge-based companies while others have become faculty members of universities or research centers, he added.

He also said 17 knowledge-based companies — established by overseas Iranian scientists in Iran — took part in INOTEX 2017.

The majority of these scientists have settled at Pardis Technology Park, he added.

He referred to company registration and counseling as among the incentives provided to overseas Iranian scientists.

The Fifth International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) which was jointly organized by Pardis Technology Park and the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology (ISTI) and the Presidential Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation (CITC)  was held at Tehran International Fairground from May 23 to 26.
