Over 6400 teachers contributed to the validation process of school textbooks

Dr. Mahmoud Amani Tehrani, an official of the Ministry of Education and Culture in a ceremony held at the Dar Al-Fonoun School, said that behind each textbook lies a curriculum that focuses on basis of preparing each textbook. “Today, textbooks in use have curriculum, while the kind of changes of textbooks were deep in the 70s, but of course, in new textbooks attitudes and skills are now paid more attention to,” he continued.

Referring to the fact that 6,400 outstanding teachers participated in the validation process of the textbooks, he noted: “the textbook writing of the 10th year grade started in the middle of Esfand of 94 and by the end of the year 95 were completed and then the textbooks of the eleventh grade began and finally after the validation processes, a large volume of textbooks were published last summer and the books were delivered to the students on time.” He also pointed out that many criticisms of the media over the past years were unjust and unfair towards textbooks, causing many to be annoyed, though many criticisms were inaccurate.

Amani Tehrani, while emphasizing that education does not belong to any person, group, political faction and time period, added: “Education is the story of the descendants of a nation, and one day we will reach a time that instead of telling others: what you did for students, we may say: what we did for our children?”
