Peace and Wisdom” Int’l Conference Planned in Myanmar

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the program will be attended by the head of the organization, some high-ranking Buddhist representatives, religious leaders and intellectuals.

Sitagu International Buddhist Academy in Myanmar will host the two-day conference.

ICRO Chief Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman is the honorary guest of the program and has been invited by Ashin Nyanissara, the head of the academy.

Ebrahimi Torkaman will present a speech at the opening ceremony of the conference.

Other speaker in the program, Hojat-ol-Islam Abul Hassan Nawab, president of the Iranian University of Religions, will present a paper titled "The Role of Religions in the Inner Peace and World Peace”.

The academy announced that the main objective of the international conference is to disseminate world peace and preserve the 2600-year-old tradition of peace through providing an opportunity for the exchange of experiences in this respect.

The conference will begin with a speech by Thein Sein, the President of Myanmar.

Scholars and intellectuals from 60 countries including Iran, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Australia, the South Africa, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Rwanda, Vietnam, Sweden, Norway, England, America, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Egypt, and Korea will participate in the international event.
