The Hague Municipal Museum has put on display over 300 Islamic historical artworks from Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and Morocco, according to a press release by the Iranian embassy in The Hague.
The opening ceremony was held on Saturday with the attendance of Mayor of The Hague Pauline Krikke, Iranian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alireza Jahangiri, and big ensemble of cultural and diplomatic figures.
Most of the artworks presented in the three-month-long event are Iranian and include handicrafts, carpets, pottery, tiling, inlay, and calligraphy.
In another exhibition, “Iran; The cradle of civilization”, artifacts from National Museum of Iran are on display and is underway in Drents Museum in the city of Assen in northeastern Netherlands.
