Persian Language Teaching at Croatian University

According to IKNA, the talks between the Swedish cultural advisor, the Deputy Foreign Minister ,the Western European Specialist of the Saadi Foundation, the head of the Center for Scientific Collaboration at the University of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Iranian Studies Foundation and the authorities of the academic institutions, Persian language in the sub-groups of education representation led to the conversion of the Farsi language course at Tallinn University to Orientalist students from optional to compulsory courses.

With the initiative of this University of Applied Sciences of Estonia and with the agreement to support the teaching of Persian language, which will be signed by the Saadi Foundation, a new chapter will be opened on the spread of Persian language and literature in Estonia.

According to the report, since the fall of Soviet Union, there has been a discussion of teaching Farsi at Estonian universities, mainly by graduates from the St. Petersburg School of Linguistics (Orientalism). After Estonia's independence, despite the sharp decline in local government support, teaching Persian at the University of Tallinn has continued.
