Persian literature seats to increase in Italy

Jannati, who is in Italy at the head of a delegation, met Italian Education Minister Stefania Giannini in Rome on the first day of his visit on Friday.
The two sides underlined the need to strengthen and expand academic ties on archaeology, human sciences and Persian and Italian literatures between universities of the two countries, according to Iran Daily.
'Italy has welcomed the development of cooperation with Iran, especially on improving Persian language education in Italian universities,' said Jannati, adding, 'Currently five Persian language seats are active in Italian academia and the authorities expressed interest in increasing this number and receiving Iranian professors to improve the program.'
Iranian minister is also scheduled to meet Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
