Physician's Biography in Iraqi Textbooks

According to OERP Public and International Relations the biography of an Iranian physician is going to be put in the schools textbooks of Iraq.

The biography refers to the selfless efforts made by an Iranian doctor who tried to save lives of people of Halabche, a Kurdish boarder town in Iraq that came under attack with chemical weapons by Saddam Hussein, the time ruler of Iraq. He took the risks and hurried to affected areas to help people and was affected himself.

To celebrate the sacrifices he made, his biography is going to be included in schools textbooks of Iraq. Necessary permissions have been issued for this initiative by Iraqi authorities and Parliament.
