Poster of International Storytelling Festival published

The poster places emphasis on Iran's traditional elements of storytelling as well as interaction between today's generation and the previous ones, ISNA wrote.

The poster is designed by Iranian illustrator Hoda Haddadi which is why Iranian elements of storytelling are used in the poster.

Elaborating on the poster, Haddadi said, "I made up my mind to show a grandmother who is narrating stories for her grandchildren. I have used traditional Iranian mattresses to illustrate a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere in which storytelling must take place."

The event is slated for January 21-25, 2018 at IIDCYA's Cultural and Artistic Creation Center. It particularly emphasizes on educational topics and subjects which promote Iranian-Islamic lifestyle. This year, Shahnameh (Book of Kings) by celebrated Persian poet Abolqasem Ferdowsi (940–1020) will be among the highlights of the festival. Foreign storytellers have been invited to the competition section since the last edition (Feb. 15-19, 2017).
