President Rouhani sent his congratulations to the family and coaches of Iranian Olympic athletes for their efforts, with special thanks to Kimia Alizadeh and Behdad Salimi.
In the message that was sent on Friday addressing “dear and hard-working athletes in the Olympics”, Dr Rouhani wrote: “I felt it would be better not to wait until the end of the Olympic Games to congratulate your fervent presence in the largest sporting event in the world”.
He also congratulated all Iranian Olympic athletes for their presence in the games, their families and coaches, as well as the Iranian nation.
