Stating that everybody must work together to achieve the goals of the election, the President said: “In May 19 election, our choice was not between two people or one person among all, but rather we had a choice between two ways of thinking and our people preferred one to the other”.

“One of the most important points of this way of thinking was that competition in today’s world, at regional and global level, our young community have opportunity to present its innovations to its society and the region,” the President added.

He went on to say: “Our universities, knowledge-based companies, and young generation must take strong steps for building and achieving freedom, security, peace and progress”.

The administration must create opportunities for the young generation to work, said Rouhani adding: “All the administration has tried to do, was that our young generation can use opportunities ahead of it to build Iran”.

Congratulating the holy month of Ramadan, Dr Rouhani said: “Ramadan teaches us how to be patient and how to resist against various wishes, preferring long-term interests over individual wishes”.
