President Rouhani sent a message to the ‘National Conference of Elementary Education and Appreciation of Dr Gholamhossein Shokouhi’ in Birjand city, and described education system as the key to sustainable development and said: “Child education system is one of the strongest factors in training committed and educated human resource”.
In this message which was read out by the Minister of Education on Saturday, President Rouhani said: “Country’s scientific progress and excellence is the result of attempts by intellectuals such as professor Shokouhi who has had great roles in training human resources and developing education in the country”.

In our religious and national culture, child education is considered as the strongest factor in training committed and educated human resource which can demonstrate in horizons of growth and perfection before us. From this point of view, the education system is the key to sustainable development and the future of any society can be seen through its current education system.
Amongst the vast collection of factors influencing culture of a society, the elementary education is one of the main and most important levels of education and it can safely be said that none of the educations levels do not reflect such importance because the foundation of intellectual and social character of an individual is formed in it, and as Imam Ali (AS) says, “Educating a child is like carvings on stones” which marks its significance and foundational status.
Holding the National Conference of Elementary Education and appreciating the lasting face of the country's education Dr Gholamhossein Shokouhi who has made a lot of committed and responsible attempts for many years to educate children of this land and also has emphasized the importance of children and child education, is a valuable move.
Today, growth and excellence of the country is due to attempts and perseverance by intellectuals such as professor Shokouhi who have had great roles in educating human resources and developing education in the country.
I appreciate this valuable move and thank the organisers of this conference and the noble people of Birjand, who have always been the cradle for educating intellectuals, for hosting the conference.
Without a doubt, a bright future for this great land will be determined with the growing help of the forerunners of science and knowledge who are teachers of wisdom, tact, and hope.
