President Rouhani met with the new Accredited Ambassador of Togo to Tehran and said: “Developing ties and cooperation with African countries has been a top policy for the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
During the meeting which was held on Tuesday, Dr Rouhani underscored Iran’s special attention to friendship with Togo and expressed hope that Lomé-Tehran ties further develop in the future.
He also emphasised Iran and Togo’s cooperation in different international and regional issues, especially combating terrorism and extremism and said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to deepen its ties with Togo in different fields such as economy, culture, politics and other sectors of mutual interest”
During the same meeting, the new Accredited Ambassador of Togo to Tehran Mohamed Sad Ouro-Sama presented his credentials to the President and expressed respect to the Iranian nation and government on behalf of Togolese nation and government and called for further development of ties between the two countries in various regional and international fields.
