According to IQNA, in the conference on "Educational school of Imam Musa Sadr and its implications for the present time", with the participation of scholars and enthusiasts was held at Darolfonoon School. In this conference ayatollah Mohaghegh Damad said that, what Imam Musa Sadr in education has begun, we must use them today; children should get used to accept others existences and tolerate each other. Enmity and hatred should not be sown in the hearts of children. This is Imam Musa Sadr's way.
Ayatollah Mohaghegh Damad said: "I am invited to this conference due to two reasons, one that this great personality, Imam Musa Sadr, has been my father's student, and I spent my adolescence with him; and I think the second reason is due to share thoughts and ideas between me and that great man. I think today what Imam Musa Sadr had begun in the education system, we should follow his way and teach kids to understand and tolerate each other. Hatred should not be sown in the hearts of the children, as this was the way of Imam Musa Sadr in a country called Lebanon, where there are several religions, but a Shiite scholar was able to gather everyone in a church.”
He added that we know how friendly he was dealing with the Jews and Christians. This is the way that we must consider to teach our children in education system. In order to reach a good society in the future, this is a true behavior which we need to teach our children. They were able to live together with this kind of thought. We need to promote education of observing the rules. This is one of the lessons we can learn from the school of Imam Musa Sadr as Hafiz says “planting the tree of Friendship”.
According to the report, Hujjat-al-Islam Ali Zu Elm, head of the research and educational planning in the event stated: “I was thinking what if a person from another country had come to our country and established a primary school, how much he would have been honored; but Sadr, a Shiite scholar in a difficult conditions in Lebanon, where Shiites were humiliated started his movement, this is something that we pay less attention to.”
Zu Elm stated that the idea of political and economic revolution of Imam Sadr had many blessings in the Islamic world. In Lebanon a few years ago, I saw a picture of Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Sistani, the supreme leader, Imam Musa Sadr and Hassan Nasrallah together while they were saying this is our identity certificate. We should be proud that at a time when an Iranian world peacemaker went to a country like Lebanon and made great efforts in educating people in Islamic ways. In the Education, Sadr had deep intellectual and pure Islamic thoughts. Islam is a religion that is not Western or Eastern but for all, and this kind of view was in Imam Musa Sadr’s thoughts. He revived freedom and independence.
Zu Elm explained that we should try to teach these in our schools and make them our model and I believe that Imam Musa Sadr style in training for school teachers and administrators today and set that as an example. Imam drew the right path in Lebanon and Pakistan; I hope we value these potentials.
