Providing Ethnic Language Education Contents via Virtual Space

Responding the criticism on decreasing teaching hours of religious studies he said that the criticism is due to incompletely understanding the case. He listed the eleven areas of learning stated in the national curriculum, that are expected to accomplish the goals altogether, and added that some goals are integrated in different subjects. He explained that reducing teaching hours has happened to some subjects including religious studies due to adding new subjects but it does not mean that the pertaining goals have reduced.

In answer to another question on difficulties of families in helping their children and parent's complains in this regard he said that most complains come from parents of primary students, this is because they are not familiarized with the new methods introduced. He added that families had better leave the teaching to the teachers and they only put their efforts into supporting their children.

He provided some information on ethnic languages and added that according to law, teaching of ethnic languages and literature is allowed but teaching all subjects in an ethnic language (instruction language) needs interpretation of the constitution Guardian Council. He announced that textbooks and contents in ethnic languages are being prepared and the target groups will be provided with them via Roshd national network.

In answer to another question on the motto of the year and economy of resistance  he said that 600 targets of textbooks have been modified accordingly in recent years, including targets on concepts such as work, production, optimized consumption, renewable and new energies, saving, bank and insurance.

On gender issues he said that some topics equally relate to both girls and boys such as citizenship rights and in fact textbooks address humanistic requirements. However, he added, some topics like religious duties or life style differ for them to some extent.
