Quran Contest Planned in Berlin

An official with the center told IQNA that it will be held on Saturday, January 28, on the occasion of the Ten-Day Dawn Celebrations, marking the anniversary of the 1979 victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

A mosque in the German capital city belonging to Shia Muslims from Afghanistan will host the event.

Quran memorization, recitation and Tarteel, and recitation of Adhan (call to prayers) are the categories of the contest.

More than 10 Islamic centers and institutes, including al-Irshad Islamic Center, Jafariya Society, Minhaj-ul-Hussein Society, Imam Reza (AS) Islamic Center, Shamim Kawsar Institute, and the Islamic-Iranian Center of Berlin will cooperate in holding the Quran competition.

According to the organizers, winners of the top three ranks in each category will receive cash prizes.
