"Quran in the Mirror of Art” was the title of the exhibition hosted by Qol Sharif Mosque, the largest mosque of the city.
Tens of tableaus featuring Quranic themes and Iranian illumination works were put on display at the exhibition.
The Iranian Cultural Center said the exhibition was organized as part of the Quranic weeks planned on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in different regions of Russia.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by deputy of Tatarstan’s Minister of Culture, Iranian official in charge of Iran’s embassy in Tatarstan, head of the Muslim Women Association in Russia as well as other eminent figures of the country.
The exhibition was directed by Hadi Roshan Zamir, Iranian calligrapher, who held a workshop of calligraphy for those interested in the art.
He has also presented his artworks in a Quranic exhibition, which has been underway since July 2 in Ufa, Bashkortostan.
