RoboCup IranOpen 2016 announces winners

The 11th edition of RoboCup IranOpen competitions took place from April 6 to April 8 at Tehran International Fairground in two categories of high school students and university students. The event was organized by Qazvin Islamic Azad University and Iran’s RoboCup National Committee. The competitions finished Friday night with Iranian MRL team from Qazvin Islamic Azad University coming in the first place.

Winners of RoboCup Standard Platform League

The RoboCup Standard Platform League is a RoboCup robot soccer league, in which all teams compete with identical robots. Germany’s 'nao team htwk' came in the first place, while another German team 'dalnamite' came in second. Iran’s 'MRL spl' won the first place in innovation in research.

Winners of RoboCup Small Size Robot League

Small Size robot soccer, or F180 as it is otherwise known, focuses on the problem of intelligent multi-agent cooperation and control in a highly dynamic environment with a hybrid centralized/distributed system. Iran’s 'IMMORTALS' won the first place, while 'MRL' came in second. China’s 'ZJUNLICT' won the third place.

Winners of RoboCup Soccer 3D Stimulation League

'Ut austin villaf' team from the US came in the first place while 'APOLLO 2D' and 'KYLINSKY 3D' from China won the second and third places, respectively.

Winners of RoboCup Soccer 2D Stimulation League

Iran’s 'nexus@d' came in the first place while China’s 'miracle' and 'mt2016' won the second and third places.

Winners of RoboCup Rescue Simulation League

Iran’s 'MRL', in addition to being the champion, ranked first in skill, discovery and mobility. Another Iranian team 'YRA' came in the second place and won the best ranking in flying rescue robot. Iran’s 'VRU' won the third place. 

The 11th edition RoboCup IranOpen competitions was held from April 6 to April 8, 2016, in Tehran.
