Romania fascinated by Iran’s rich culture: Ambassador

Talking in a gathering on the sidelines of the 28th Tehran Internatiobal Book Fair (TIBT), he said many of Iran’s outstanding literary works have been translated into the Romanian language.

He pointed to the long-standing relations between the two countries because of both being situated on the Silk Road and noted that Persian lauguage and literature have been taught in Romian universities since 1969.

The 28th Tehran International Book Fair opened to the public Wednesday morning.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by President Hassan Rouhani Tuesday morning.

The event is highly popular in Iran and is keenly welcomed by visitors from all over the country.

The annual book event which enjoys an international prestige will be open to public visit until May 16.
