"Nomads and villagers play a unique role in safeguarding territorial integrity and national identity of the country; since the Constitutional Revolution till the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the epic of the Sacred Defense and the political elections, you imposed your wills on tyrants and aggressors and enemies,” the president said in his message read by one of the officials in charge of the meeting.
The message also reads, "The national cultural congress is a great opportunity to express gratitude to teachers, clerics as well as other cultural activists who invite people to spirituality.”
The four-day event is being held in the holy city of Mashhad in Khorassan Razavi Province in northeastern Iran.
