Russia keen to expand literary ties with Iran

Mazirka, who is the representative of the Moscow Fund for Support and Development of Interregional Communications – Sotrudnichestvo, made the remarks in his meeting with Tehran’s Book City Institute deputy director Ali-Asghar Mohammadkhani on Tuesday, the institute announced. 

Mazirka said that Sotrudnichestvo has been active in Iran since last year and that the organization is willing to enhance its relations with those cultural centers active in promoting Persian literature.

He added that the fund is ready to provide the facilities for larger cooperation between Russian literary centers and Tehran’s Book City Institute and reinforce literary ties between the two countries.

Mohammadkhani also pointed to several meetings his institute organized with Persian and Russian scholars and said the institute welcomes greater collaboration with Russian literary and cultural centers.
