In a meeting between Rector of Yeltsin University Victor Koksharov and Iran's embassy consul-general in Russia Ali Mehri, the two sides announced that there are plenty of grounds to increase academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
Koksharov applauded the Iranian embassy activities as well as efforts of Iran's Ambassador to Russian Mehdi Sanaei to expand academic and scientific relations and expressed readiness of Ural Federal University to grant fellowship for 100 Iranian students.
In the meeting, two Vice- Chancellor of the UFU and Iran's new scientific attache' Ahmad Gholami and his former colleague Behrooz Abtahi were present to review the ways to expand academic and research cooperation.
UFU declared sisterhood with Iranian Avicenna University of Hamedan. They have a bright record of cooperation over the past several years.
