Russian, American, European Publishers to Attend Tehran Int'l Book Fair

The organizers told reporters on Sunday that the American and European universities include Chicago, Yale, Colombia, California, Harvard, Princeton, and Edinburgh.

Several high-ranking Russian cultural officials are also scheduled to attend the 29th Tehran International Book Fair as Russia is the guest of honor at the event.

Among the officials are General Director of Russia’s International Book Exhibitions and Fairs Sergey Kaykin, and Director of Russia’ s Federal Agency on Culture and Cinema Mikhail Shvydkoi.

Deputy Director of the Russian Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications Vladimir Grigoryev, and a group of Russian writers will also visit the book fair.

Russia plans to arrange a vast variety of cultural programs during the fair to introduce more of the country. 

“Tomorrow Is Too Late to Read” is the motto of the 29th edition of the fair, which will run until May 15. It will be held in Shahr-e-Aftab (Sun City) Exhibition Complex, south of Tehran.
