Russian translation of Quran to be published in Egypt

According the Wito website, a team of translators and Quran scholars has done the rendering into the Russian language.
Egypt’s Awqaf ministry will publish the translation in the near future, the report said.
It has already published Quran renderings into English, French, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, German, Albanian and Indonesian.
The ministry says the translations are aimed at promoting the message and sublime teachings of the Quran and countering extremism and deviated thoughts, IQNA said.
Last week, Egypt’s Awqaf Minister Muhammad Mukhtar Guma said there are plans to translate the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) into different languages as well.
