Sa'di's 'Kulliyat' oldest manuscript in INLA

Director General of INLA Ehsan Shokrollahi further said that the manuscript was written 80 years after the great poet died, IRNA reported.

He noted that the library maintains 850 manuscripts by the poet.

Speaking about Sa'di's 'Kulliyat' which was registered on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register in 2015, he said that the book was one of the royal versions which was written upon the order of the then king.

The version was calligraphed during the 14th century.

According to Union Catalogue of Iran Manuscripts, INLA has, since its inception, maintained 138 manuscripts of his sonnets, 375 of his 'Golestan' and 225 of his 'Bustan' in addition to some others. In other words, Sa'di has the highest record of manuscripts in Iran's literary documents and archives.
