Shakespeare for Iranian Teens Published

In an interview with IBNA, Farzaneh Karimi said: "This collection which has been released by the children and young adults department of Zekr Publications for young people, includes 16 works by Shakespeare including ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘Othello’, ‘Hamlet’, ‘Macbeth’, ‘Anthony and Cleopatra’, ‘As You Like It’, ’Much Ado About Nothing’,’Henry V’, ’Richard III’, ‘The Tempest’, ‘Twelfth Night’, ‘Julius Caesar’, ‘King Lear, ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘The Merchant of Venice’”.
"The collection has recently been released in hardcover. These stories, of course, are also published as independent volumes, 11 of which were already translated by Javad Sabetnejad and I translated the last four volumes,” she said.
The translator added: "The good features of this collection are that explanations are given at the end of each story about the main characters and why they have done the work outlined in the story, and this will help the audience to understands the story and leads them to become more related to it.”
According to Karimi, reading this book is also suitable for people who want to be more acquainted with the ideas and subjects in the mind of Shakespeare.
